WHAT / WHY

No.002 / ABOUT US

WHAT

What do we

sell?

"Illuminated exhibition booths." We provide booths whose entire wall surface glows with LED light — at roughly 30% of the industry's going rate. It combines a light-box structure with a reusable design. We store your fabric, so every show from the second onward costs even less.

WHY

Why do we

sell it?

Across more than 20 years of building booths for exhibitions and conferences, we kept hearing the same thing: "Exhibiting is too expensive." Booths are built and thrown away every time, and costs balloon as work passes through layer after layer of subcontractors. We launched this business to fix that structural waste.

PROBLEM

No.003 / INDUSTRY ISSUES

Until now, there were
only two options.

System booths and custom wood builds. These two long-standing choices each carry their own problems — and exhibitors keep telling us the same things.

"

System booths look cheap, yet they cost surprisingly much.

VOICE OF CUSTOMER / 01

"

Custom wood builds look great, but they blow the budget.

VOICE OF CUSTOMER / 02

System booth example
Issue 01 ─ System booth

Issue 01

System booth

$2,000–4,000 per booth unit

Affordable, but limited design

Reusable, yes — but every exhibitor uses the same specs. It's hard to stand out on the show floor.

Issue 02 ─ Custom wood build

Issue 02

Custom wood build

$3,333–10,000 per booth unit

Looks great, but costly and wasteful

Built from scratch and scrapped every time. Costs never fall, and it generates huge amounts of industrial waste.

Built from scratch and scrapped every time. Costs never fall, and it generates huge amounts of industrial waste.

The third option

Cost efficiency, striking design, and sustainability — all three, realized.

RAN²BOOTH is exactly that new kind of booth-construction service.

SOLUTION

No.004 / 3 FEATURES

Illuminated, affordable, and sustainable — all at once.

A unique glowing-wall structure, frames designed for reuse, and a waste-free circular model. One service delivers all three.

Glowing-wall booth example

01 ─ LIGHT

A booth with glowing walls

Fabric prints set into LED-embedded frames. It achieves a full-surface glow that spotlights simply can't.

Repeat-use cost savings example

02 ─ PRICE

Costs fall the more you repeat

With the same design, you skip fabric-printing costs, so every show from the second onward costs far less. Exhibiting 4 times a year, savings of around 70% are possible.

Waste-free circular booth

03 ─ SUSTAINABLE

No waste after teardown

Frames are disassembled and collected by us, and the fabric is carried out too. The plywood and lumber waste of wood builds simply never occurs.

01 ─ LIGHT

"The glowing booth" — a uniquely engineered booth whose entire wall surface lights up

A technique that sets fabric prints into LED-embedded frames. It delivers a striking spatial presence no point-source spotlight can match — the whole wall surface glowing evenly.

Glowing-wall booth
01

The entire wall glows evenly

The LED frame and fabric print combine to light the surface uniformly from within.

02

The fabric is unnoticeable, even up close

With precisely tensioned fabric, visitors rarely realize it's fabric at all. The finish rivals a custom wood build.

03

Visible from afar, even in dim halls

In high-ceilinged halls where light levels drop, the glowing wall catches the eye from a distance — helping stop visitors at your booth.

02 ─ PRICE

"Lower your costs" — rethinking the structure to sharply cut exhibiting costs

We compress construction, labor, and transport costs all at once — creating a large cost gap versus custom wood builds.

Setup crew cut to 1/4

Custom wood build
15–18 people
RAN²BOOTH
4 people

Because frames simply snap together, no skilled handcrafting is needed, compressing the labor that dominates setup costs.

Transport vehicles halved

4× 4-ton trucks 2× 2-ton trucks

Fabric folds up and frames ship compactly, cutting both transport cost and unloading time.

Less storage space

Stored whole Disassembled + folded

Frames disassemble and fabric folds, greatly shrinking storage space and cost.

* Actual savings vary by scale and frequency. The above compares a 10-booth-unit (15m×6m) build against a custom wood build.

03 ─ SUSTAINABLE

"Reusable, again and again" — a circular booth structure that leaves no waste after teardown

We reuse the frames long-term, and reprint only the parts of the fabric that need it — bringing the waste of every past show close to zero.

Frame disassembly + fabric collection only

Near-zero waste after teardown

We disassemble and collect the frames and carry out the fabric. By design, the plywood and lumber waste of wood builds never occurs.

5+ years of use

Frames reused long-term

We own and manage the LED-embedded frames and reuse them across many shows, so no resources go to waste.

Only the changed sections

Reprint only what changed

If the design is unchanged, the fabric is reused as-is. Reprint only what changes — like new product info — to keep costs down.

A little more detail, for

10a / MARKET

Japan's exhibition market, and what makes exhibiting succeed.

After the pandemic, Japan's exhibition market has recovered and expanded around in-person events. Studies show that the more often a company exhibits, the more results it sees.

Japan's event-related industry size

¥979.7billion

2024 actual, +7.2% YoY. Above the pre-pandemic 2019 level; the in-person return is here to stay.

Annual B2B exhibition visitors in Japan

7.49million/year

600+ events held annually, ~77,000 companies exhibiting (pre-pandemic baseline). 500+ B2B exhibitions were still held in 2024.

Japan Exhibition Association / JETRO J-messe

What companies that get results at exhibitions have in common

PATTERN 01

Exhibit repeatedly

Companies that have exhibited 2+ times in the past 3 years tend to see stronger results. Don't judge on a single show; exhibit multiple times with improvement in mind.

PATTERN 02

Raise visitor quality with pre-show outreach

Exhibitors who secure visit bookings in advance via DM, invitation emails, and social posts capture business cards more efficiently on the day. The key is not to bet everything on the show days alone.

PATTERN 03

Rank leads right after capture

Sort into hot/warm/cold and pass them to sales/call teams the same day, enabling follow-up from the very next day.

10b / ESG

Environmental performance and SDGs.

On the final day, most custom wood booths are processed as industrial waste. By reusing frames and storing/reprinting fabric, RAN²BOOTH keeps waste close to zero.

Industrial waste 0kg

Contributes to SDGs 9 (industry, innovation & infrastructure), 12 (responsible consumption & production), and 13 (climate action).

10c / TECHNOLOGY

Light-box booths: a cutting-edge method still under 5% adoption in Japan.

Overseas, this method is used by the likes of Cartier, CHANEL, Apple, and Mercedes-Benz, yet it has barely spread in Japan.

Light-box adoption (international comparison)

Europe 40-65%
North America 30-45%
China 50-55%
under 5%

Why it hasn't spread in Japan

01

A conservative industry

Most vendors specialize in custom wood builds. They are reluctant to adopt new methods, and wood construction carries higher margins for them.

02

The misconception that "fabric looks cheap"

In reality, proper tensioning and the right fabric yield a very flat finish — hard to identify as fabric even up close.

03

An immature domestic supply chain

Few domestic factories can mass-produce light-box frames, and fabric-printing and sewing vendors are scarce, keeping prices high.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Q1. How far in advance should I order?

For a first project, we recommend consulting 2 months before the show. We've delivered in as little as 10 business days, so reach out even in a rush. Orders placed 3 months ahead qualify for a discount.

Q2. How is the fabric stored?

We store it free for 1 year from your most recent order. After that, you can choose return or disposal.

Q3. What about the design?

Send us your materials and requirements, and we'll produce the design. We propose 2 options, with one round of revisions free.

Q4. Does it really look as good as a wood build?

Our representative will bring a 50cm-square sample to your office. We can also arrange a visit to a recent installation.

Q5. Can I buy the frames?

We don't offer a purchase plan. However, for multi-month pop-ups and the like, we can accommodate a long-term rental plan.

Q6. Can you handle distant locations?

Outside Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, Aichi, and Osaka, additional fees may apply. If we have another project at the same time and venue, extra fees may not be needed — please ask.

Q7. What's the payment timing?

50% within 7 days of order, the balance within 7 days of completion. If cash-flow timing is a concern, let's discuss individually.

Q8. Can you also make leaflets and novelties?

Yes. We provide leaflets, novelties, and promotional items that match your booth design, all in one stop.

Q9. Can you handle joint exhibits by multiple companies?

Yes. For multiple booths at the same venue or co-exhibiting with others, we can sometimes offer discounted pricing.

Q10. What's the cancellation policy?

Up to 31 days before the scheduled build start, 50% of the contract amount; after that, 100%. For force majeure such as natural disasters or show cancellations, you bear only actual costs incurred.

Q11. Can we propose this to our clients or partner with you?

Yes. We have a track record of partnering with ad agencies, event companies, and construction firms. Let's talk.

Q12. Can it be used beyond exhibitions?

Yes. We handle spatial decoration broadly — store decoration, showrooms, pop-up stores, retail-facility displays, in-house conferences, and more.
